To make this truly worthy of an elite slot, it should resurrect your pet if it's dead. The biggest enemy of the Beastmaster is limited skill slots- to have an elite pet heal that still has only half the functionality of the standard pet heal is ridiculous. As it is, a Beastmaster using Heal as One still has to bring Comfort Animal in order to rez the pet if it dies- the six second cast time on Revive animal puts that one out of the running.

In short, Heal as One should look something like this:

Heal as One, 5e 1 12s
If you or your animal companion are below 75% Health, you both gain 25..121 Health. If your companion is dead, it is resurrected with 10...48% Health (and your skills are disabled for 8 seconds).

Wow, it won't res a pet? So now, we have a worthless beastmastery elite? At least ferocious strike had decent damage. Now we have to take Charm animal, if you want it heal as one, then comfort animal or revive animals as well? gfg ANet, way to screw over beast mastery yet again.

I've been looking for this thread. I'd have to agree, since they increased recharge of Heal as One from 8 seconds to 12 seconds

, it should, at the very least, rez pet with 25% health.

My skill bar now has only 3 beast attacks, charm + comfort + Heal . We need either an elite that has charm and comfort animal , or adjust this elite to rez the pet!

Help the Beastmasters out, anet!

Yeah I'm sure they will, and it will most likely come with the release of Nightfall.

I so wish Anet would make a simple change to Charm Animal:
Charm target animal. Once charmed, your animal companion will travel with you whenever you have Charm Animal equipped. If your animal companion is dead, it is resurrected with 10-48% health, and all your skills are disabled for 8 seconds.

And then take the rez part out of Comfort Animal, or heck, leave it in there I don't care. lol

If they did this, it wouldn't unbalance anything, so I'd say yes. You shouldn't need two skills to res+heal your pet

Problem with charm animal is the long cast time. Could you imagine having to do that to res?

meh. rebirth and resurrect are 6 seconds, restore life is 8. 10 seconds isn't exactly great for charm animal, but it would certainly help beast masters out.

As it is, this skill is totally worthless. Wow, I can get the equivalent of one monk heal every 12 seconds, but it's a conditional heal? This would be a terrible non-elite skill. It would *maybe* be viable if it rezzed the pet too, but it would still be a tough call.

Loki, the other beastmastery elites are actuallly pretty sexy. Tiger's fury/enraged lunge builds do pretty ridiculous damage, and ferocious strike has it's uses for some bunny thumpes.

Wouldn't it be easier to just reduce the cast time for Charm Animal? All the cast time does is give henchman 10 seconds to kill it before you can charm it. Seriously this skill is USED maybe once every few months at the most.

I hardly see how changing it to a 1-2 second cast and making it ressurect your pet is a problem... Hell maybe just scrap Comfort all together and make Charm do both.

I also agree it should ress, otherwise you must have confort OR someone to bring the Area pet ress spell.

Really this elite should res in some form or another.

But I've always been a strong follower of the idea that Comfort and Charm Animal skills should be merged into a single skill.

If anything this should not be an Elite skill. If they can't or won't merge this with with some sort of pet rez, turn it into a core skill not Elite.

They need to lower the recharge on this considerably. It's not as good as Comfort for healing your pet, and it can't be used often enough to heal YOU effectively...
